Horror Still

The picture I have taken is of a horror scene which involves a murderer who is the main focus in the frame but also with frame is dribbles of blood on the floor which is clealry shown to create an image of what could have happened in this scene. The picture is taken from a low angled long shot and there is some back lighting which is also the main lighting in the frame. To add to the lighting there is a little bit of light coming from behind the camera. The lighting in the image isn't over powering, lighting up the room so it helps give the dark and scarey look as you can not see the person in the pictures face very clearly. Also the light shines on the floor almost pointing in the direction of the camera and the blood on the floor. After having taken the picture, simply using iPhoto I blurred the edges of the image to give the effect of the person being stabbed on the floor being quite dazed and hurt from the attack as if he was just about to faint giving them poor eyesight.

Worm's Eye View

A Worm's Eye View is a shot taken from the ground looking diagonally upwards or straight up from the ground as if we as an audience are looking from a worm's perspective. It can be used in cinematography to make something look very tall and large to give the viewer an idea of power. Also it can be used to look at something such as a building to show how big it really is or to emhasise the height of something such as a building.
