Crash Zoom

A Crash Zoom is when a camera is usually focused on a still subject and then zooms in or out of the subject very quickly. When zooming in or out of the subject it gives a blurr to all of what is in the scene as of the fast lens movements. This type of zoom could be used to quickly to zoom in on someones facial expression or to zoom out from something which is really in the far distance which shows how far away the main subject really is.
