Tracking Shot

A Tracking Shot is a shot filmed by using a small track in which the camera is fitted on to gain easy movement and to maneuver quickly and steady. Using a Tracking Shot enables the camera to move side to side or forward or backwards and at any angle meaning the camera is able to be moved anywhere. A Tracking Shot is mostly used in a car scene where the camera is able to focus up close on the characters in the scene in the vehicles whilst they are moving at quite high speeds to give the sense of being there with the characters in the scene and this wouldn't have the same effect if they were to use a Panning Shot for this scene.
